Anxiety is a common feeling of unease, worry, or fear that can range from mild to severe. If you're experiencing symptoms like low mood, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, panic attacks, negative thoughts, or feeling easily fatigued, anxiety might be affecting your daily life. While occasional anxiety is normal, if your worries feel overwhelming, seeking professional support can help.
DEPRESSION
Depression is a mental health condition that causes lasting sadness and a loss of interest in daily life. Common signs include hopelessness, low self-esteem, trouble sleeping, and changes in appetite, and even thoughts of self-harm. Often linked with anxiety, depression is a treatable condition and therapy can be a powerful aid in overcoming it.
TRAUMA
Trauma results from exposure to an incident or series of incidents that are emotionally disturbing and life-threatening. Experiencing a traumatic event takes a physical, emotional and mental toll on us, which can make it difficult to cope with the aftermath of such events. If you are struggling with trauma or trauma-related concerns, together we can create a personalized treatment plan and find the support you need to move forward.
RELATIONSHIP CONFLICTS
Relationships aren't perfect. Common relationship issues can include poor communication, emotional unavailability, growing apart, infidelity, lack of appreciation, emotional abuse and/or intimacy issues. Whether you are struggling with dating, marital complications or separation, therapy can give you a better understanding of your behavior patterns and help you work towards becoming a better partner.
LOW SELF-ESTEEM
If you are someone who is extremely self-critical, feels inferior to others, uses negative words to describe themselves, struggles with perfectionism & procrastination, has low resilience & downplays their positive qualities, you may be struggling with low self-esteem. Living with low self-esteem can lead to problems such as anxiety and depression. Under the right guidance, therapy can be a safe space for you to explore these issues and treat them.

How many therapy sessions do I need? The length of your treatment will depend on your unique circumstance. Sometimes, clients report feeling better after just one session. Speaking openly with a non-judgmental and supportive individual, such as a therapist, can provide you with relief almost immediately. However, effectively, therapy takes 5-12 sessions and sometimes longer to complete. Once you start sessions, new issues and angles can arise that you might want to explore. It is also possible to see improvement faster than you originally expected. So, it is best to keep an open mind over how long you might be in therapy, and discuss it with your therapist.

How many sessions do I need to take to figure out if a therapist is suitable for me?It's vital to have a positive working relationship with your therapist, so it's recommended for the client and the therapist to meet 2-3 times before deciding whether or not the therapeutic relationship can continue. The therapist may provide the client with referrals of other specialists or trusted colleagues if they feel someone else might be better at working with the client.
-
What can I expect in the first session? The first therapy session is unlike the other sessions as the client and the therapist are getting acquainted with each other. Trust is incredibly important in therapy, the foundation of which is laid in the first session. With time, the therapeutic relationship can grow to offer a powerful space for the client to explore themselves. The majority of the first session is spent in collecting information about the client’s past and specific concerns that motivated them to seek therapy. At this time, the therapist also tries to gain an understanding about the client’s goals and expectations. This allows the therapist to come up with an action-plan based on their treatment of similar concerns with other clients.

What is Psychotherapy?Psychotherapy, also known as Talk Therapy, is a long-term treatment process focused on achieving insight into one’s troubled thoughts, emotions and behaviors. It allows people to explore themselves freely and discuss their challenges in a safe, non-judgmental environment with the help of a trained therapist. A therapist will not provide solutions or advice. Instead, they will encourage you to talk about your feelings and experiences, which can ultimately help you arrive at a better understanding of yourself and your circumstances. A therapist works in collaboration with the client to form a plan of action to address their concerns.

What are the benefits of online therapy?Online therapy, also known as Remote Therapy offers access to mental health and counseling services via the internet. Why you should consider online therapy: Access to treatment isn't limited by location. As long as you have a reliable internet connection, you can talk to a therapist from home, or any place that feels comfortable to you. The additional stress of getting to a therapist’s office at a specific time, on a particular day, can be avoided. Being able to readily access a licensed mental health professional in a convenient way can help in reducing the stigma of reaching out for support. Virtual therapy also gives you access to a broader range of providers. Instead of being limited by location, now it's possible to focus on seeking help from a therapist who's the perfect fit for your specific needs. When you have to travel to appointments or take time off work to see a therapist, you may not be able to schedule as many sessions as you'd like. Since online therapy is so flexible and convenient, it becomes easier to schedule additional sessions when needed. Therapy can be intimidating. Being vulnerable or sharing your fears and concerns isn’t always easy. Doing these things in a strange or unfamiliar environment can be even more daunting. Remote therapy lets you have control over your environment, and you are more likely to be able to put yourself at ease during virtual sessions. Online therapy offers access to mental health treatment to people in rural or remote areas. Those who live in rural areas simply might not have access to any other form of mental health treatment because there are few to no mental health practices in their area.
